Dystopian Detroit provides the setting for the action-packed Brick Mansions. Abandoned brick mansions from nicer times are now used to shelter the most dangerous criminals. In Malavita, Robert De Niro reprises a role that he’s a veteran in, that of a gangster. Here he plays an aging mobster called Giovanni Manzoni, who spills the beans on many of his criminal associations and is subsequently placed in a witness protection program and shipped off to a sleepy little town in Normandy with his family.
